D'Banj and Don Jazzy were "brothers from another mother" who probably made more money than they could handle, Nigerian media guru Dele Momodu has revealed. In an article for YNaija the publisher of Ovation Magazine and failed Presidential aspirant narrated the Genesis to Exodus of his long and colourful relationship with the estranged friends and business partners who built and then let crumble Africa's most successful record label Mo'Hits.
Struggling to figure out how the bosom friends lost their sense of direction to become victims of their own success, Momodu laments - "Reading the exclusive interview D'Banj granted Ayeni The Great recently, Mo'Hits must have made too much money. In the process, my brothers must have forgotten the truism that wherever too much money is gathered the demon must make itself Executive Chairman. They obviously did not see the omnipotent demon walk into their lives."
Momodu estimates that at the hight of their Mo'Hits partnership, only the twin duo P-Squared rivalled or even beat D'Banj and Don Jazzy. So we're all agreed on it, perhaps someone did let money get to their head but the question is which one of the two? Is it the hyperactive Oliver Twist crooner or the laid back MAVIN beats maker?
