"DON'T FOLLOW ME IF YOU BEAT UP WOMEN" - PETER OKOYE

P-Square's Peter Okoye has drawn the line in the sand against men who abuse their partners. He says the culture doesn't make them men but animals. In three thematic posts on his twitter page the star warns any man guilty of domestic abuse to stay away from him and not even think of being his fan.

SHOPPERHOLLIC MZBEL SPLASHES OUT IN SA

...BUT NOT FOR BABY

Pregnant Ghanaian pop and screen star Mzbel was spotted in South Africa's capital city Jo'burg doing what she does best - besides singing, acting and getting naked of course - which is SHOPPING! But we would have thought she'd rather be shopping for her unborn baby not herself. Winks.

WHY DID WIZKID AND MANAGER PART WAYS?

Reports on various news media and online organs have been announcing that Wizkid and his manager of over five years Osagie Osarenkhue have ended their business relationship. So that's no longer news. Apparently their contract expired three months ago and not only did they not renew it they also decided to keep the development under wraps which naturally stirs ups a little bit of speculation.... Like why did they not renew their commitment to each other afterall, the report sheet of their time together looks pretty impressive the latest two of which are his BET gong and a massively successful European and US tour. Most importantly perhaps is the question: Why did they attempt to keep it secret until it leaked? Is there something they don't want us to know? Well, too bad, because we're determined to find out..... So watch this space.

OMOTOLA - "MY HUSBAND WAS NOT FIRED"

"WE'RE FINE THANKS", SHE REASSURES FANS

Nollywood's top actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has debunked recent media reports that her husband Captain Matthew Ekeinde was among hundreds of Air Nigeria employees that were recently fired. The Spy also carried the story having received it from usually trusted sources and deeply regret any hurt the publication may have caused the couple and their loved ones. I will never consciously be part of any malicious gossip.

SHOCKING REVELATION:FOREIGN STARS NOT WELCOME IN UGANDA?

INTERNATIONAL PERFORMERS DOOMED TO FLOP

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but duty calls so don't shoot the messanger...  Here we go - Heavyweight international entertainers such as dancehall gurus  Sean Paul and Konshens, Nigeria's Koko Master D'banj and comedian Basketmouth who all have gigs lined up for Uganda in the coming weeks had better watch out and brace themselves. I'm hearing from sources on the ground that a recent sampling of opinion among entertainment freaks and music loving public in that country gave off rather unwelcoming signals. You will recall that Sisqo of Dru Hill fame flopped there recently when he performed at a half-empty venue and Wayne Wonder's tour around the same period wasn't much to write home about either. So all they may b e getting will be a handful of die hard groupies, nothing more.  However, my sources are saying that the lukewarm reception being experienced by the international stars lately is nothing personal, its just that Ugandans are fed up with foreign performers coming in to dull the shine of their local idols so they're getting more nationalistic minded and now tend to throw their support behind their hommies. One blog commentator asked: "They're coming to do what? What's wrong with our promoters? Haven't they had enough of their own medicine? That's why their shows will always be total flops". Another spat: "I don't care about the confused internationals and their flops. All I'm waiting for is the mighty MOTO MOTO launch. Chamili's launches/shows are always a must to look forward to.... So whether you bring Buju Banton, to hell". You've been warned...

PREGGO MZBEL IN SA

GHANA'S HOTTEST DANCEHALL STAR HEADLINES GHANAFEST 2012

All eyes are on Ghana's feisty music icon Nana Ekua Amoah better known as Mzbel as she headlines at the  GHANAFEST 2012 in South Africa. Why? You wonder! The reason is that the sexy and controversy-prone star who recently stripped to her birthday best for a commercial is now pregnant and showing. Multi-talented Mzbel (she's also an actress) has a reputation of staging raunchy performances so it will be interesting to see what she serves up this time without the baby bump getting in the way. As she's unmarried, I was naturally curious to get the low-down about her pregnancy but all my efforts to identify the baby father were unsuccessful at press time. However, a member of her management team who took my long distance telephone call to Ghana and identified himself simply as Kwame said he would ensure that Mzbel gets back to yours truly when she returns from South Africa. The expectant singer twitted earlier that  sound check at the festival was in progress. Watch this space.
