JIM IYKE STARS IN VIRGIN ATLANTIC TV COMMERCIAL

To celebrate its lucrative African routes, Virgin Atlantic airlines recently struck a $150,000 television commercial deal with Nollywood star Jim Iyke. This guy just won't stop... Brokered as always by Iyke's prolific management team Greyology Inc, the deal was sealed in Accra Ghana just over a week ago and the footage shot on location at London's Gatwick airport on Saturday 2nd February 2013. Also on the cast were Tinsel star Osas and Jocelyn Dumas of Adams Apple. Here are some behind-the-scenes peek of  what went down at the shoot. More after the cut.

WIZKID GIVES BANKY-W THE FINGER

Nigeria's teenage singing sensation Wizkid has dumped EME -  the label that gave him his big break. In recent cryptic tweets, the young star apparently tells off the label, Empire Mates Entertainment owned by rapper cum entrepreneur Banky W saying: "Don't take loyalty for stupidity, don't!!." Coincidentally, the artist has edited his Twitter bio with EME now conspicuously missing.

In an earlier tweet Wizkid announced:"Moving on to start over again. Fuck it.."

Tongues are already wagging that the Kid has outgrown his boots but you and I know that there's no smoke without fire, so watch this space...

We spied the glorious and  ever so gorgeous Genevieve Nnaji at Monday's nominees night for  AfricaMagic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) where she simply stood out of the crowd and virtually left other famous actresses playing walk-on roles in the class and style stakes.... RIHANNA AND CHRIS IN A BETTER PLACE?

This is the cover of the up-coming issue of Rollingstone Magazine featuring Diamonds crooner and love-torn bird Rihanna, who else... Hmm, I hear that in the exclusive interview with the mag, she confesses her undying love for Chris Brown who famously battered her to a pulp. She even feels that both of them are now in a "better place" whatever that means. I thought people only used that "better place" expression for dead people.... when we're sure they've gone to heaven...? Well, what do I know? We live and we learn and they say love is strange. But with these two troubled souls, I guess we can even say that (their) love is kinda weird. Only time will tell.

The cat's finally out of the bag as Tinsel screen boos Chuks and Ene take marriage vows for real. The Spy gathered that the love birds who come across as a mismatch on the popular MNET TV soap, had been secretly dating for a while before Chuks (Iyke Okechukwu) popped the good old question to Ene (Florence Uwaleke) in December.
