COPYRIGHT WATCHDOG RAID MUSICAL SOCIETY OFFICES

The Federal Government, Wednesday, wielded the big stick against the Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria, MCSN, over some of the latter’s illegal activities.

A statement issued by the Public Affairs Department of the Nigerian Copyright Commission, NCC, Nseabasi Unagwu, said the action became necessary to forestall the activities of MCSN, such as granting of fraudulent licenses for the usage of musical and film works.

OKOTIE/HENSHAW PALAVER: STRANGE INTERVIEW

The following is a report I've just spied on the NFC website. I jumped on the story because NFC titled "Why I Sent My Wife Packing". It is said to be excerpts from a so-called "Exclusive Interview" granted the City People magazine by the man I call "bling bling" pastor Chris Okotie through a spokesperson. What utter rubbish! First, the whole set up (an interview via a third party) is absurd and the crucial question as to why he divorced Stephanie Henshaw remained unanswered. Who does this guy think he is, God? "The Child Is Mine" - Akon

The long standing child battle between Uganda’s socialite Susan Owori and Senegalese born US rapper Akon real names Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam is about to end. This is after the ‘Beautiful’ star singer accepted fathering a baby with the Kampala born socialite.

In a story published on July 22 in the the New York Daily News and celebrity gossip website, TMZ Akon’s representatives revealed that; “Akon may have just discovered that he’s a father again, but he plans on doing right by his baby mama Susan Owori, whom he impregnated while on tour in Uganda.” Susan is younger sister to city fashionista Sylvia Owori -

 The gossip website TMZ further states that Akon accepted responsibility after a paternity test revealed that he was actually the real father of a baby boy.

It was revealed last month, that the Konvict music label mogul had actually filed paternity documents in court to become the legal father of the kid he fathered with the Ugandan socialite. Akon asked the court to grant him joint legal custody. He’s also requested the kid be eligible to inherit from him — same as if they were born in wedlock — and to keep his last name.

However, Suzan’s close pals have intimated that she only willing to agree to a deal of a joint custody if Akon marries her. “She is only willing to have joint custody if Akon accepts to marry her or else there is no deal” a pal added. Efforts to contact Susan for a comment on Friday were fruitless as she told a snoop she was at the airport jetting out to the United States. “I am at the airport right now heading out to the US. But I will call you back as soon as I settle” she added.

This whole new twist is shocking considering the Locked Up singer vehemently denied having ever slept with Susan Owori let alone fathering a kid with her. As for Susan’s part, she claims that Akon planted a live seed into her vuvu in May 2008 when he appeared in Kampala for Celtel Uganda concert.

Shockingly, if Akon is successful with his court papers, Susan’s son with him will be his sixth child from a fourth woman. He already has five boys who are all set to inherit from his vast empire.

Peter Okoye, one half of P-Square, has responded to those who have been mocking his effort at speaking the English language.The twins have been slated recently for their "Igbo" accent - See my previous post -So Peter hit back via Twitter saying: "Speaking good english doesn't put food on my table."
