Omotola mobbed by fans at "Last Flight To Abuja" London premier

Omotola: Speechless!
Finally, the doomed flight 212 to Abuja did take off and if Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is still alive and in one piece as you read this then I tell a lie. For, the ravishing first lady of Nollywood  was practically disorientated and gasping for air as she was mobbed at the long awaited premier of Obi Emelonye's Last Flight To Abuja in London last night. And despite every effort by "bad boy" actor Jim Iyke to upstage her at every photocall that followed the screening, the hundreds of fans that crammed Troxy cinema's two-tier hall on Commercial Road seemed to only have eyes for this classy Thespian and ageless mother of four.

WANTED

This is nothing to do with celebrity news. It's urgent public service announcement... A matter of life and death... The man you see here is GODWIN and he is not a celebrity but he's WANTED for kidnap. He's believed to have abducted the three little boys in the family photo from their school in Abuja yesterday. They're the children of his employer. He was driving a metallic Toyota Avensis without registration plates. Please share and retweet this post and contact the nearest police if u spot him.

Cage this monster of a producer, please!!!

When I first read the appalling revelations of abuse and battery made by Mrs Kikelomo Oyeneyi against her now estranged husband - the music producer known as K-Solo two days ago, I was too furious to write anything coherent hence this is my first mention of the story. I still wonder if I'm composed enough 48 hours later because the statement that K-Solo has just issued is to say the least aggravating.

This smooth-talking gold-digger-of-a-wife-beater dares to pull the wool over our eyes by attempting to remorselessly water down the evil streak lurking behind that harmless-looking mask he calls a face. He claims to have never laid a finger on the poor lady!!! Well, if you buy that, then you will buy any damned piece of garbage because what he is telling us in effect is that Kikelomo either went to the lengths of paying a Black Belt Karate champion to batter her black and blue just for visual effect or perhaps she simply hired a make-up artist to re-            design her pretty face beyond recognition in these graphic and indicting images you see here. Kikelomo narrated a damning catalogue of words, deeds and dates even citing third parties in her interview with City People and we're not only referring to the financial, mental and physical abuse he allegedly meted on his naive wife but also his fraudulent escapades on the internet. What explanation can there possibly be for these horrendous images? The Spy doesn't care how many Timaya's K-Solo has produced - we challenge him to disprove the indicting accusations blow-by-blow. In the meantime, this monstrous bully must be arrested  without delay and prosecuted under the full force of the law. Anything less will not pacify me, give Kikelomo closure or dissuade similar barbarians parading themselves amongst civilised people especially entertainers who can easily pass as role models.... NTA crashes with Dana Air disaster

In the wake of Sunday's Dana Air disaster, the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) has come under fire for failing to live up to expectations with its shambolic coverage of the breaking story. Apparently, whilst foreign channels and various internet platforms were supplying up-to-the-minute real time reports of the crash, the NTA which fancies itself as the "Largest Network In Africa" was repulsively napping - airing some irrelevant documentary programmes as if nothing had happened!

Wizkid UK tour reviewed

The much talked about Wizkid tour of the UK has come and gone. Unfortunately the SPY has to report that the tour organisers Coko Bar Dot Com  failed to keep their pledge of providing us with a Press pass for the London event therefore we're in no position to review it... They've released a video of the Manchester gig which some critics who attended have described as a voice-over performance with limited artistic success besides the impressive attendance. The SPY gladly presents the clip below... However we believe that the review at the end of the following link should paint a good picture of what went down at the London Apolo. Enjoy...

Breaking News - "Last Flight To Abuja" dedicated to Lagos and Accra air disasters

Last Flight To Abuja, the long awaited breathtaking new Nollywood film that was inspired by the tragic series of plane crashes that rocked the Nigerian aviation industry in 2006 and set to be premiered in London on Friday 8 June 2012 will now be dedicated to the memories of the victims of both the Allied Air (Accra) and Dana Air (Lagos) disasters respectively. In a statement issued this morning, the producers of Last Flight - written and directed by the visionary award-winning UK based Nigerian film maker Obi Emelonye (pictured above) and starring top Nollywood and Hollywood actors Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Hakeem Kae-Kazim and Jim Iyke said "It is with great sadness that just as the film is set to world premier to further elevate and redefine Nollywood cinema, yet another Nigerian aviation tragedy has occurred... It is with a heavy heart that the producers now dedicate the premier to the memory of the unfortunate victims of the Allied Air and Dana Air crashes that took place in Accra and Lagos respectively on 3rd June 2012".
Limited tickets to the event which will hold a minute's silence to honour the crash victims have nearly sold out. Read the integral Press Statement after the cut....

Yvonne Chaka Chaka hit by 4-1-9ner

Thank You Mr DJ singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka has fallen victim to a 4-1-9 fraudster. Reports just reaching the SPY say that the famous South African star was conned by a fellow South African woman by the name of Alfrida Kgabo Matse. According to my sources, Matse - a well-practised scammer had become familiar with Chaka Chaka before spinning her with a sob story involving her inability to pay her children's school fees and workers' salaries etc and claiming  to have an inheritance of 100 million Rand. Matse is so good at her game that she had even successfully scammed a cousin of former Governor of South Africa's Reserve Bank Tito Mboweni. Chaka Chaka who is known to  be generous to a fault has vowed to have Matse prosecuted.

Bad Black's baby may be mixed race afterall

Is she Black, White or mixed? That's the big question. But critics of Uganda's bad girl Bad Black are holding their breath, ready to change their tune as her three-week-old baby Davinah's pigmentation gets fairer by the day. The former prostitute-turned celebrity groupie with a long string of love interests including Nigeria's highlife superstar Flavour Nabania was the mistress of David Greenhalgh a Uganda-based white Brit who refused to play daddy to Davinah when she was born by caesarian section two weeks ago because she appeared to be one hundred percent Black.

Iyanya - "I changed my mind 30 minutes before Dana flight"

As I reported earlier, music mogul Don Jazzy is thanking his stars for escaping yesterday's air tragedy by three days' grace. However some are luckier than others... singer Iyanya Mbuk of Project Fame West Africa and his manager were only minutes away from being counted amongst the dead on that flight manifest. They were actually booked for the fateful Dana Air flight but suddenly changed their minds just thirty minutes before take-off. Read the tweets this lucky guy posted soon after the disaster...

I could've been on that plane - Don Jazzy

As some Nigerian stars took to their favourite social networking site Twitter to express their condolences for those who perished in the Dana plane crash yesterday, Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy has revealed that he was lucky to be alive because he could have been on the unfortunate plane. Just moments after news of the crash broke, Jazzy tweetted - "To think that I took that same airline from Abuja to Lagos three days ago, I just dey para now mehn, this life is just crazy".
