Caught in the act:Is Goldie a lesbian?

What in your opinion is wrong with this picture? Well, as far as I'm concerned, the sexy dark skinned chic being groped is not the issue here. Its our Golden "Don't Touch My Body" singer that I'm coughing about.... What's she doing? Going against the rule? Touching that body???? OMG! Is this proof that the Big Brother contestant is a lesbian or does she simply swing both ways? Despite having twenty-twenty vision I'm still kinda confused. What do you think....

Nadia and Essien back together after night of booze

A little birdie tells me that Ghana's sexy screen goddess Nadia Buari and Chelsea star Michael Essien who broke up their relationship a while back due to ego-related issues may be on the roll again. A Spy source reveals that both were spotted at
a private birthday bash in Accra recently. Interestingly the ex-es arrived  at the venue of a local telly personality's birthday separately and initially hardly exchanged any pleasantries but before long - thanks to a little alcohol one thing led to another. The two old fire woods were then said to have ended up in each other's arms after their guards dropped - smooching the night away and happily posed for photos as onlookers applauded their reunion. Question is, could this be a return match or just the power of Bacchus the God of booze at work? Neither of the loved-up birds would come clean when interrogated but we've got our spies on their case so watch this space...*Be the first to know - Like the SPY on Facebook and follow @AfricanCelebspy on Twitter

Mrs Idibia's Love Tweet of the day...

Everybody say Awwwwwww, how sweeeeeeet!

Bored Nollywood actress Susan Peters makes an April Fool of herself in June

Peters blamed Ikeji after posing
Remember Susan Peters the Nollywood actress whose abusive rant some months ago on Twitter over a BlackBerry Porsche mobile forced the famous blogger Linda Ikeji to apologise? She's at it again! But this time I bet she'll be the one walking the walk of shame and apologising. A few hours ago the woman who went berserk after pictures of her deliberately posing with her PorscheBerry were published tweeted for no apparent reason except of course that she was bored to death due to lack of anything better to do that D'banj had proposed to Genevieve in the presence of Kanye and Kim. Obviously, coming from

Actress Chinwe Owoh assaults fellow actress on set

What's it with these stuck-up Nollywood stars and their violent streak? Several months ago, we reported how bootylicious diva Mercy Johnson assaulted a fan who also happened to be a make-up artist on the film set she was working on. Reason? The poor girl was photographing her. She hit the girl and thrashed her BlackBerry. After the shameful assult, the film's producers still literally had to beg the bullish

Breaking News - Segun Olushola of Village Headmaster is dead

Unconfirmed reports just reaching me say the founder and producer of iconic Nigerian Television soap the Village Headmaster Segun Olushola is dead. Olushola who later became Ambassador of Nigeria to Ethiopia was a veteran broadcaster/producer and held a string of managerial positions in both Radio and Television - notably he was the Director of the NTA from 1978-1987. Details about his passing are still sketchy. He was aged 77 years and will be sadly missed.

Sexational P-Square secrets - Peter and Paul come clean!

Peter and Paul Okoye - the hunky twins we all know as P-Square may have been born on the same day but their first taste of the "forbidden fruit" was a whole year apart, the SPY has gathered. According to Nigeriafilms Peter was the first to experience the pleasure of sex when he was seduced by an older female at the age of fourteen whilst Paul's was a year later at the age of fifteen. Paul reveals that he freaked out after the "Do Me" session because he was afraid that the girl would suddenly get pregnant... however, he did use a condom. Now aged thirty-two, the identical twins are arguably the wealthiest and most successful of Nigerian musicians. They've broken viewer records on YouTube and own a vast portfolio of real estate across Nigeria, a fleet of top-of-the range cars and a private jet.

Scandal of cheating actresses sparks war amongst Nollywood women

Shan George: Married actresses cheat
A war of sorts looms on the horizon amongst the womenfolk of Nigeria's Tinsel Town Nollywood and we have actress Shan George to thank for it. She's facing a backlash of potential cat fights after accusing her married Nollywood colleagues of sleeping around "like dogs". Naturally, this has enraged more than a few of the actresses whom Shan alleges were being lured by money into bed with politicians and businessmen whilst pretending to be happily married. Shan who claims to be a one-man-woman has herself had four failed marriages but she is quick to point out that she was never unfaithful to any of her husbands. Unfortunately those who the "infidelity hat" fit are not buying that! They're furious and say it takes one to know one and have even challenged Shan to expose the names of the unfaithful actresses she's referring to or else.... OMG! You know what they say about a woman scorned, don't you just love it when they start pulling out wigs and shred each others clothes!!! Can't wait...

Charly Boy sues Mirror Newspaper for Gay claim

Charly Boy - the controversial and rebellious artist who turned sixty-one yesterday received an unlikely birthday present from his lawyer when the latter slammed a One billion Naira law suit against the National Mirror newspaper on his behalf the SPY has gathered.
The paper had failed to retract its story published a fortnight ago saying the star had admitted to persistent rumours that he is a homosexual. Charly Boys's attorneys had given the newspaper an ultimatum to publish an apology but it did not do so, journalists were told moments after the suit for libel was filed at the Lagos High Court.

Two more out of the Big "Brutal" House

Red carded: Roki and Maneta
After DKB and Zainab another pair bites the dust! This time Roki and Maneta both Zimbabweans have been shown the way out of the Big Brother house of violence. Something tells me that this spirit of violence is far from what the faceless Biggie had in mind when he came up with the idea of pairing up contestants in this loveless StarGame. I guess besides our favourite infatuated but highly cautious Goldie, any hopes for some real romance in the house is out of the question.

SCANDAL! Nigeria's Most Beautiful Miss-represents

Reports say Isabella Ayuk - the controversial winner of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2012 - has been rejected by the Miss World pageant. Silverbird group who operate MBGN have issued a ridiculously hollow statement saying the tainted queen's personal agenda clashed with an event on the world's beauty pageantry calendar that can be best described as the jewel in the crown - the Miss World contest - due to take place in Mongolia in August.

Who is Charly Boy?

The soft-spoken, highly gifted and somewhat misguided Nigerian artist Charles Oputa better known as Charly Boy and Area Fada has been courting controversies for over four decades now - with his repulsive public image and rebellious character. As he turns sixty-one this week and looks more and more like a Satanic priest I'm still trying to figure out what his agenda really is and if he thinks he has nearly achieved it yet. Any ideas dear friends? In the meantime, I worry for all the disenfranchised youths of Nigeria who may see him as a role model or cult hero of sorts.

Wanted:A Ready-made lover for Nollywood pastor Eucharia

Actress cum evangelist Eucharia Anunobi says she'll continue to embrace her Bible to keep warm until the Lord blesses her with a partner. The famous and voluptuous Nollywood star who recently directed and starred in "The Kingdom" alongside Annie Macaulay Idibia and Van Vicker says she's not paying any attention to potential suitors who're giving her the chase. She told a reporter - "I don’t have a love life. When I say I don’t have a love life, that does not mean people are not chasing me. Good of course, people are chasing me alright, but, if in the sense of trying to have what you call boyfriend, no. I am not doing that, but I rather would say what I am praying for, is for a partner who will become my husband." The Spy says hello, Houston, we have a problem! Some people demand an arm and a leg from God... How in heaven or on earth do you expect to end up with a partner without first befriending him or her? Surely, as a woman of God single mom Anunobi must know that God only helps those who help themselves. Besides, the Bible is a book full of cold truths so you'll probably freeze to death cuddling up to it for TLC damn it!

Big Brother's Zainab in London

Sexy Sierra Leonean model of Big Brother Africa fame Zainab is in London. The Salone titi who was booted out of the the BB Stargame show after a violent run-in with Ghana's DKB is in town to grace the 2012 Olympics which kick off end July. The Spy will track her down for the gist behind the headlines so watch this space.

Jay-Z's flying crib

Irony of life or what? Whilst Nigerians can't be certain they can fly safely from Abuja to Lagos and constantly pray for God to take over the controls of their planes, some people want to live in the air. Reports say RnB superstar Beyonce has presented her filthy rich hip hop entrepreneur hubby Jay Z with this private jet that's pimped with everything you find in a modern apartment - including two bathrooms! I suspect baby Blu Ivy's little bros or sis will be conceived in the air as they'll be spending long quality weekends in their flying home worth a mere $40m.

Ghanaian star Sonni Balli hits the Hi-Life

Ghana born hip-life and reggae star Sonni Balli will be featuring in the next edition "Hi-Life" the new Afrobeat show on Vox Africa TV co-hosted by model and presenter Nana Afua Antwi, Fernand Frimpong Jnr and Chichi Okafor. A little birdie behind the scenes tells me the UK-based artist popularly known as "The Soul Healer" - title of one of his hits - will be dropping details on his much anticipated 2012 Summer Mixed Tape as well as a few tasty treats up his swag-filled sleeves.... So the channel to watch this Thursday at 6.30 PM is SKY 218.

Last Flight To Abuja in UK cinemas next week

Last Flight To Abuja - the new high octane suspense thriller film which has now become the uncanny campaigning tool for improved air safety in Nigeria goes on general release in the UK on Friday 29 June. SPY readers will recall that Last Flight To Abuja lead actress Nollywood superstar Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and her fellow cast members were overwhelmed at the film's world premier in London a fortnight ago. For details of all the cinemas that will be showing this groundbreaking production by Obi Emelonye read a statement sent to us last night below. To view the trailer scroll to the bottom of this page....

PRESS RELEASE
Last Flight to Abuja – UK Cinema release

After a hugely successful world premiere at The Troxy Cinema in East London in front of over 1300 guests, Last Flight to Abuja, the new Nollywood, disaster themed suspense thriller by award winning UK based Nigerian director Obi Emelonye, is now set to be released across 14 London cinema screens from Friday 29th June. Two of Nigeria’s leading companies Diamond Bank PLC and Zinox Technologies came together to support the premiere and in a touching tribute, the audience observed a one-minute silence in honour of the Dana Airlines crash victims prior to the screening of the film and the producers replaced the closing credits with a list of the departed souls. The premiere audience included stars from the movie - Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Jim Iyke and Ali Nuhu, Ambassador O.K. Lawal, the Deputy High Commissioner to the Court of St. James and representative of the Nigerian Government amongst a host of others. The event was anchored by ace Nigerian comedian Okey Bakassi. Last Flight to Abuja starring some of Africa’s biggest screen acting talents - Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Hakeem Kae-Kazim and Jim Iyke - is the very first Nollywood film set on a plane and is a high octane suspense thriller inspired by real life events that unravels the twists, turns and leaps of fate that put a set of everyday Nigerian travelers on-board a stricken plane teetering on the brink of disaster at 30,000 feet. Caught up in a nightmare scenario all the passengers pray as the final moments of their lives approach. Will they survive…..the Last Flight to Abuja? Originally inspired by a series of airplane disasters that rocked Nigeria in 2006, Last Flight to Abuja has inadvertently become highly relevant and timely due to the uncanny similarities to the recent horrific Dana Airlines plane crash that happened in Lagos on 3rd June 2012 which resulted in the loss of over 160 lives. As a tribute the producers of the film have now dedicated the film to the memory of the victims of both the Dana Airlines and Allied Air disaster that happened on the same day. With the issue of air safety on African airlines high on the global news agenda, the producers believe that now is the most opportune time to release this important film in order to maintain pressure on the relevant agencies to tackle this serious issue. The producers, cast and a number of African media organisations are now coming together to create a campaign demanding improvements in air safety in Nigeria and hope that these actions in some small part will show support towards the families and friends of the victims and the nations of Nigeria and Ghana as they go through the pain of the healing process of these terrible national disasters. The film producers hope that Last Flight to Abuja will now be viewed as an advocacy tool to raise awareness of the need for increased aviation safety in Nigeria, and in Africa as a whole. Last Flight to Abuja is being released independently by The Nollywood Factory and Screen Nation Pictures with distribution consultancy and servicing by Talking Drum Entertainment and Evrit Distribution.

Kilon Popping? Ini Edo's hubby needs to chill

Its been one of those longgggggg days so I haven't posted all day besides there's nothing scandalous happening anyway coz yours truly has been multi-tasking and monitoring events on the celebs front - you know how we do! Lols... So just two quick notes to round up the day. All this talk about Ini Edo being spotted melting into the shadows from an event whilst her Prince charming was miles away is doing my head in. But most irritating is her hubby speaking out and saying his missus was never at the venue where she was clocked. There's no smoke without fire, you know?!! So the SPY says - No matter what Ini may have told him over the phone or better still via Skype how is he so damned sure she wasn't where they alleged she was? What business has he fighting the star's media battle in this way? Can he cope with every story that pos up becasue we know this is not the first and will most certainly not be the last. Ini's a big girl and she's been looking after her heavy backside well enough all by herself before he took over. This is Nollywood celebrity stuff so Mister Ehiagwina is better off staying dignified in the background like Captain Ekeinde and all shall be well. I promise...

My other bone of contention with myself today is this new video from this equally new artist called Jaie of whom I know absolutely nowt. All I can say is she's kinda cute although her music's all over the shed... still she's kinda better than that Chocolate City babe who went off key and off timing in the freestyle video we saw recently. Nevertheless, I really can't figure Jaie out so I leave that to you good people.... Scroll to the Spy Video Dump at bottom of the page to view the clip of Kilon Popping and then feel free to pop your comments .

Yvonne Chaka Chaka's scammer caught

This is the face of the professional four-one-niner who conned South African star Yvonne Chaka
Fraudster Matse
Chaka of R150000 recently. Remember our report in which the Thank You Mr DJ singer vowed to sort her out? She now has! And the fraudster known as Matse is awaiting trial behind iron doors in a Pretoria police cell as I write this and trust me, forget all the teeth you see in this picture, she's definitely not smiling now. Chaka Chaka says "I'm glad this woman has been arrested. At last I might be able to find closure after all I've been through." But the singer is not the only victim of this shameless scammer - a string of others are lining up armed with warrants baying for their pound of flesh too. She's believed to have collected a total of One million Rand from two other victims alone. I hope the guards lose the keys when she's finally sentenced.

"I dey drink garri" - Nadia Buari

Nadia Buari with Emma Emerson
The Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari has revealed that she actually does drink Garri! This means that the Koko Master got it twisted when he said in the hit single Oliver Twist "I like Nadia Buari, but she nor dey drink garri". Nadia made the contradicting revelation in an interview with Golden Icons TV. The impression  the song gives is that the actress is too posh to eat Garri which is a dry by-product of Cassava tubers that's rich in starch and its a staple across West Africa. She told presenter Emma Emerson "I'm African so I definitely drink garri".  So much for the rhyming bros.

A fan's open letter to D'Banj

Tweet of the week! The concern of a Kokolet  for the Master...

Ever heard the sarcastic saying - "Ask no questions and I shall tell no lies"?. Well, need I say the guy has remained quiet ever since this tweety question from one of his Kokolets. Not even his trademark "Osheeeeee" has been heard for five days! Usually after a Kokolet whispers something a little less probing into his ears a series of Lebete's and Labata's start flying left, right and centre. Perhaps he's too busy, probably he's finally had it and bundled Kanye into the studio with a gun to his head saying enough is enough mhein... The SPY says it seems the Okoye twins are quietly bagging all the milestones that D'banj set out to achieve by shunning Mo'Hits and a huge chunk of his fan base - but without all the drama. I rest my case! Osheeee!
