A trusted publicist of Oliver Twist singer D'banj has successfully scored premium publicity points for his Koko Master by deceiving popular blogger Linda Ikeji about who bought the Porsche Cayenne he presented to rapper Naeto C on his wedding day. As the Spy suspected, the posh 4x4 was bought by Naeto C's former brother in-law Dumebi Kachikwu. In a retraction titled "D'banj didn't buy Naeto C that Porsche Cayenne", Ikeji came clean on how she was hoodwinked by the trusted D'banj man with whom she revealed she had been cross-checking all her D'banj related stories for over a year. The famous millionaire blogger who was not at the star-studded nuptials herself says in the retraction posted yesterday that as soon as she got wind of the development, she immediately sent a text to the unnamed informant for confirmation and even after he texted back that "
It is the truth, Naeto is a good friend and brother to D'banj", she still followed up with a phone call in which the guy coyly maintained that the car was the 2012 edition but became shifty about putting a price tag on the gift his friend purportedly bought and cleverly asked Linda to Google it herself to find out. He then washed his hands off the gist by telling her to go ahead and publish it without quoting him. Linda later fell flat on her face when the SPY smelt a rat and questioned the true origin of the Porsche in our own report but by then D'banj was already singing
Oyato with his trademark cheeky grin having successfully hi-jacked Naeto's moment of a lifetime. Poor Linda... Now she has apologised to her readers for the first time in her four years of gossip mongering.
