Davido's new ride: Fuelled by foolish pride? |
Whilst I sincerely congratulate rising Nigerian teen star Davido on the purchase of his latest toy - the Audi Q7 - I'm afraid I still have to do my job and report that some bad belle people other wise known as haters are wagging their tongues saying that the N10m or N12m ride does not
really belong to him. One anonymous source who claims to know the family reveals that the Audi actually belongs to his loaded dad. You'll recall that the feisty and extrovert singer recently acquired a Range Rover Sport having sealed a number of lucrative deals lately and his critics who are unimpressed with this head-turning gadget are suggesting that the 20-year-old is either ill-advised to be investing so much in depreciating items like cars rather than in real estate and more viable business ventures or its just a publicity stunt to usher in his forthcoming album. Whatever the idea behind his ostentatiousness, some have expressed genuine concern for the safety of the young artist saying he could easily be targeted by men of the underworld whilst others strongly feel he should learn from the well-known experiences of riches-to-rags stars like Majek Fashek, Ras Kimono and more recently Olu Maintain of Yahoozee fame. The Spy says - I rest my case.
