Paternity saga: CK Akunnor, Elikem Kumordzi deny fathering footballer Odartey Lamptey's children

Ex-Ghanaian footballer C.K. Akunnor (pictured) has discounted himself from the triangular saga surrounding the paternity of another footballer - Odartey Lamptey’s - three children. Lamptey, a former  captain of the Black Stars recently discovered that all three of his children with wife of twenty years Gloria were not his.

The name of Akunnor was subsequently thrown into the ballot of possible fathers along with former BBA housemate, Elikem Kumordzi but like Kumordzi, Akunnor brushed off the allegation describing it as “lies”.

Speaking to Kapital Radio’s Sports presenter, Benjamin Yamoah, off-air, C.K. Akunnor said he found the news very disturbing although he was not paying so much attention to it.

Former Black Star and Anderlecht player Lamptey who lost two of his five children with Gloria told Accra-based radio station, NEAT FM   “…I thought they were mine but upon a DNA test, I got to know that they are not my biological children.”  Mrs Lamptey has since filed for divorce.
