Davido: Rich in money but poor in upbringing

Davido: Rough start
Nigerian teen star Davido is beginning to rub me up the wrong way. The big headed self-styled "Omo baba Olowo" (Yoruba for "Son of a rich man")  is constantly in the news for the wrong reasons. After the hype over his expensive SUV's we heard how he staged a show of debauchery in the presence of fasting muslim big shots and now he is alleged to have manhandled a taxi driver who stood up to him as he got violent with one of his girlfriends who had caught him playing away with another chic. According to
reports he asked that same dumb question that most "Aje butters' ask - Do you know who I am?
He then goes on Twitter to deny the incident saying people should not believe everything they read. Which is rather convenient. This is a pint sized teenager - I doubt if he's going to grow any taller than he is now - who is trying to fly when he can barely walk. Why cant he act his age and comport himself like WizKid or even Ice Prince? Being the son of a rich man doesn't put anyone above the law. And by the way, who cares how rich anyone's family is? What we care about is your character and how you interact with the rest of the world... This "bad boy" swagger he is taking on will lead him on a collision course with a lot of people including the press and no amount of his dad's money can remedy that when it happens. I really do not know why brands like MTN hasten to associate themselves with upstarts like this badly brought up nineteen-year-old braggart. They need good role models as brand ambassadors not bad influences like Davido who are bound to taint their valued image. Thread carefully dude, we've got you in ours sights now...
