Ice - T: Guns-R-Us |
Guns are cool, gangster rapper and actor Ice-T seems to be saying as he remained unmoved by the recent Colorado mass murder by a gun-toting sicko. Wonder why? Because he believes the "United States is based on guns." Speaking on Channel Four Television in London yesterday Ice bluntly came out against renewed calls for US gun control legislation to be tighted in the wake of the Aurora shooting by John Holmes during a midnight screening at a Colorado theatre of Batman's "Dark Knight Rises." In his gangster wisdom the star philosophized: "Guns don't kill people, people do." He added: "If somebody wants to kill people, they don’t need a gun to do it… You can strap explosives on your body. They do that all the time." Quoting KRS-One's infamous song "Sound of Da Police." Ice said “You're never going to have justice on stolen land", he maintained that weapons are necessary to protect oneself from (guess who?) the police. He also said he'd be glad to turn in his weapon after everyone else has.
The SPY says – Brilliant! I never knew that in the US the police were the enemy. Well, live by the gun and you’ll bloody well die by it. Since Yankees seem to value their Third Amendment right to weapons more than their lives, tough. You bury your dead and don’t forget to pay me compensation for my wasted tears.
