Following the recent divorce of funky pastor Chris Okotie and subsequent rumours that he planned to wed again come December, people are now speaking in tongues within and outside his ministry the Household of God. Whilst we thought all along that it was the bling-bling pastor that dumped his second wife for an upgrade, it gets even better or should I say spookier as a Nigerian tabloid the First Weekly is reporting this week that sources close to Okotie believe that his two marriages have crumbled due to childlessness. They are saying that Okotie's first marriage to a certain Tina which lasted for nearly seventeen years was fruitless but she went on to have a child with her next husband. On the other hand wife number two Stephanie Henshaw already had three children from two previous marriages before
marrying Okotie in 2008 but has remained childless since being married to him for four years. Now the views being expressed couldn't be more diverse. Some say that Stephanie was the one who dumped the pastor because he couldn't give her a heir to his "throne" and was fed up of living with the insecurity that the randy man of God may be dating other women. First Weekly quotes a source claiming to know the former pop star turned Reverend as saying that his marital problems stemmed from his presumed inability to father a child. However, those more sympathetic to the pastor don't even want to go there. One church member in a hush hush voice described the above insinuation as "rubbish talk".Yet, various public figures have voiced their views on this unbecoming drama that's unfolding in the so-called Household of God. The SPY says only God knows all things and all shall be revealed in due time.
