Sarkodie tops Ghana Music Awards

Controversial Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie last night emerged as Artist Of the Year at the 13th Vodafone (formerly MTN) Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The "Rapperholic" star swept the board by also winning Song of the year with "U go kill me" and being crowned Rapper of the year. It's Sarkodie's second win of the national title.

However, Nigeria's Panshak Zamani better known as Ice Prince caused an upset when he beat his fellow country man - the embattled larger than life entertainer D'banj by taking home the enviable African Act of the Year gong. The other continental stars in the category were Angola's Cabo Snoop, Naeto C, Duncan Mighty and Wizkid.
