"Nollywood is full of unhealthy rivalry" - Chikere

"Nollywood is full of unhealthy rivalry and people who don't want you to grow", recently divorced director Tchidi Chikere has revealed and warned that he'll no longer publicly discuss his future projects.
"I'll no longer talk about my plans... What you see is what you get", he told Nollywood Gossip as he strenuously tried to bring closure to the well-publicised end to his ten-year marriage to actress Sophia.
The Masters degree holder who said "I'm very academically inclined", also revealed that he had intended to become a Catholic priest before the make-believe world of Nollywood swallowed him up!
Chikere who's rated as one of Nollywood's best directors and reputed in equal measures as a ladies' man and arrogant and unfriendly, described himself as "deep" and misunderstood adding that behind the mask of celebrity he's human with feelings and that he had felt like dying when he read false stories about his marriage.
Chikere reiterated that he had not moved in with actress Nuella Njubuigbo and that she wasn't carrying his baby but beat his chest for owning up to his failed marriage rather than living in pretence like many.
