This is interesting! Stuck up Nollywood diva Ugo Okoye now knows what it means to be overrated. Apparently none of the fifty or so movie roles she's interpreted in her career so far prepared her for the kind of public diss-ing she received at a swanky fashion event in Lagos recently.
According to well informed sources the actress turned up at the event in Balmoral halls minus her invite expecting the burly bouncers at the door to roll out the red carpet for her. Loools! Instead they brought her down from her high horse and insisted she produced her invite or else...
Fortunately, a former executive of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) appeared on the scene before the fierce trading of unprintable words turned too nasty for a lady and even though he vouched for her, the actress who has as many scandals to her name as she does film credits promptly stormed off the premises telling friends how she expected to be recognized everywhere.
Point of correction girl, its one thing to be recognized and a totally different thing to be endearing. Obviously her overrated self was well and truly recognised hence the rough welcome after which she was too embarased to show face - with several of her colleagues and other celebrities present. Well, you know what they say, you live and learn.
