Wizkid cancels US tour

E.M.E today announced it had cancelled a chunk of Wizkid's North American tour. The Nigerian teen idol aka Ayo Balogun told fans via his Facebook update "The Cali and Canada stops on the tour have unfortunately been canceled. Due to circumstances way beyond anyone's control. So our sincere deepest apologies go to the fans in Cali & Canada, who wanted to be at the shows.." The statement further added that ticket holders would get a refund.We're still trying to ascertain what led to the sudden cancellation of this much hyped and anticipated tour.

Tango With Me: UK premiere sold out!

The London premiere of new Nollywood blockbuster Tango With Me from the stables of Producer/Director Mahmood Ali-Balogun and starring Genevieve Nnaji has sold out. Talking Drum Entertainment - the film's distributors and organisers of the event slated to take place at the Greenwich Odeon tomorrow 16th August disclosed this earlier today in an e-mail to me. This means that fans who have failed to obtain their tickets can only catch a glimpse of the film's cast and other celebrities on the red carpet but cannot view the screening until its general release on Thursday 24 August 2012.

Bitter Pastor Okotie takes back cars from ex-wife Stephanie

The latest sermon oozing from the so-called Household of God Church is not glorious one bit and the head of the scandalous sect Pastor Chris Okotie seems to have put his foot right in it as critics are now turning against him after his recent outburst. Sources within the embattled church have revealed that the failed pop star cum lawyer and politician took to his pulpit last Sunday to vilify his ex-wife Stephanie Henshaw instead of preaching the word of God. I gather that the so-called man of God who most people rather see as the "bling bling pastor" was so bitter over his breakup with his ex that he likened her to the biblical Jezebel and shamelessly announced that he had taken back the Mercedes and BMW cars he bought her. Okotie who we recently gathered fathered and abandoned a nine-year-old daughter had placed an embargo on his household members to refrain from discussing his dramatic second divorce. But last Sunday he threw caution to the wind and started bringing out all the dirty linen and skeletons in his closet saying he'll never take Stephanie back after "everything he had suffered" in her hands. However our sources say he stopped short of detailing what his estranged spouse did to provoke such mean and unchristianly reaction. And unsurprisingly, his outburst has sparked widespread condemnation from within and outside his congregation with some describing him as "Self ordained" and "Materialistic." This is far from being over....

I notice with stunning glee that Charly Boy now has a new convert... His father! Until now I was under the impression that the retired Justice was at loggerheads with his rebellious son but how wrong I was. Did someone not say if you can't beat them then simply join them? I can't wait to see how fast daddy Oputa can catch up with his "creative" warped-minded son who claims to be sharing his body with two alter ego's. Temporary disruption of the Spy blog

I regret to inform my valued readers and fans that due to technical circumstances totally beyond my control my services to you will be severely but only temporarily disrupted over the next couple of weeks or so. Basically, I moved into a new apartment yesterday Saturday 11 August and my cable tv together with my broadband/wifi now need to be transferred by Sky - my service providers. Unfortunately this can take up to two weeks during which time I'll only be able to blog from my handheld device (iPhone). The implications are that my posts will be irregular as I'll be greatly limited in my browsing and researching plus the fact that whatever posts I make from my mobile will be unformatted as per usual. I greatly value your support and trust that I can count on you to keep checking on me for the latest.... I'll see you when I see you. Mitch.
