GOOD MUSIC star D'banj booed off stage in Zimbabwe

Oh noooooo! News reaching me about Nigeria's Koko Master and presumed number one Afro pop export D'banj is unfortunately nothing to write home about. According to reports from Zimbawe where the over-hyped former MoHits star - now signed to Kanye West's GOOD MUSIC label - was headlining the Lion Lager Summer Beer Festival last Saturday at the Glamis Arena in Harare say he was booed off stage after
he ran out of steam midway through his set. I gathered that despite resorting to lurid moves with his Kokolets after exhausting his small catalog of fading hits like Fall in Love, Oliver Twist and Kukere remix, the crowd was far from being impressed and did not hide their feelings.

Dubbed the "Battle of Africa", D'banj was representing West Africa while Ugandan reggae star Bebe Cool represented East Africa along with other local artists. D'banj's mediocre performance was given the thumbs down as disappointed fans recalled the successful tour last year of popular Nigerian duo P-Square. *The Spy ALWAYS finds out and ALWAYS tells it like it is.
