The first film featuring Annie Macauley since her recent marriage to superstar 2Face Idibia has just been released and to the surprise of many feminists, the Nollywood star's credit bears her new married name Annie Idibia. The film titled The Kingdom was directed and produced by Eucharia Anunobi and stars such big names as Van Vicker and Tana Adelana as well as Anunobi herself.
It is common practice for high-flying female professionals especially celebrities to either maintain their maiden names or hyphenate them to their husband's but Annie once again seems to have gone the extra mile to demonstrate how deep her love is for the man who strung her along for nearly thirteen years before popping the question. The SPY can further reveal that contrary to widespread belief, the couple have not held any traditional marriage rites besides the legal registry ceremony. Mrs Idibia who says she's been feeling great and totally blessed since her marriage told a reporter recently - "The traditional and white would follow later. My husband and I are planning that. We will let you know". The SPY says - What's taking you so long? Its not as if Two Baba's not up to the task of staging a State Wedding. Lol. We can't wait.
