Prince Odi Okojie - hubby of Nollywood sensation Mercy Johnson is said to be nearing breaking point as his family mounts pressure on him and his actress wife to produce an off-spring. Since the couple's wedding in August 2011 that was marred by well publicised drama, the groom's family has been eagerly waiting to hear the cry of a baby in the "royal" household but to their great despair, the screen goddess has so far failed to deliver! (No pun intended).
Sources close to the couple have revealed that Mercy's husband has until recently continued to stand by her and has been pleading on her behalf with his clan who are said to be the demanding and overbearing types to be more accommodating and to take into consideration the nature of his wife's career.
However, Nollywood sources are now indicating that Mercy J's prince in shinning armour may be reaching the end of his tether and insiders believe that as he gets to breaking point he may buckle under his family's pressure and start transferring some of the heat to the actress who may either be compelled to take a career beak or stand her grounds as she's believed to have several lucrative jobs ongoing and in the pipeline.
It will be recalled that barely two months after their wedding gossip professionals announced that the new bride was already in the family way which doesn't appear to be the case as we speak.
Its therefore only a matter of speculation what Prince Odi will eventually do should the union continue to be fruitless for much longer. Will his family encourage him to look elsewhere in order to produce a heir to the Okojie throne or will he continue to stand by his wife at the risk of strained relations with his family? Questions! Questions!!Only time will tell.
